About WAL

WAL was established in 1977 primarily as a coal lab. Over the years we have expanded our range of services to include water quality monitoring, soil quality and reclamation, cement and fly ash analysis, as well as environmental monitoring and fuel content determination for industries such as coal, petroleum, alternative fuels, energy production and resource mining.

With a wide variety of analytical instruments, a large wet chemistry laboratory and equipment to process on-site, we offer organic analysis, gas and ion chromatography, elemental content analysis and hundreds of individual ASTM, ISO, SM, ASA, USDA and EPA methods of analysis. WAL also provides analytical lab consulting, method development, auditing, coal sampler bias testing and third party, on-site lab services.
