Scrum Benefits

Scrum’s benefits include a shorter time to market, better return on investment and higher quality software.

With Scrum, the Product Owner and all stakeholders are included throughout the development process. This lets them spot the risks early and address them efficiently. Each Sprint also releases small amounts of the product in development. This allows for a quicker ROI than traditional projects, where the entire product is created in one go.

Developers can then be able to see the impact of every small thing they create, rather than waiting for all questions to be answered and for everything to be perfect prior to beginning programming. This provides a sense satisfaction and motivation. Scrum helps teams concentrate on tasks of high value and allows them to prioritize their efforts. Scrum projects are more likely to be successful than traditional ones.

The Scrum framework provides transparency which allows the Product Owner and other stakeholders to monitor the progress made in each Sprint. This provides them with a better understanding of the overall condition of the product and enables them to manage expectations more effectively.

The inspection aspect of Scrum requires teams to review their process and their work. If they discover that something isn’t functioning as expected, they will need to correct the issue immediately. If the team is working remotely, this could be difficult as they aren’t able to interact face-to-face. This could lead to a decrease in collaboration and communication which could affect the efficiency of the team.
